Promotions have become an indispensable part of any movie and with changing time, ways of promoting films have also changed. It’s the world of competition and celebs make every possible attempt to make their movie reach the maximum audience by appearing on TV serials and reality shows taking into consideration the fact that a large number of people depend on Television for entertainment and hence, TV viewers retain much importance.
As we know that “Housefull 3” is slated to release on June 3, 2016, it’s high time for star cast to promote the movie on all big platforms for good results on Box Office in terms of collection! Since it’s a comedy movie, what could be a better stage than the reality comedy shows and thinking the same, the team of “Housefull 3” chose Comedy Nights Bachao (CNB) on Colors to promote it.
However, something happened on the sets of the comedy show which was not at all funny and left the star cast upset. Akshay Kumar hardly loses his cool in real life despite having the image of an angry action hero onscreen. And we believe that something really unpleasant and unacceptable would have taken place that made Khiladi Kumar furious. Yes, just like any decent and civilized person, he could not see two ladies being humiliated for racist reasons.
Unquestionably, CNB’s format is much like AIB Roast and comedians on the show keep on insulting celebrities. The same happened when team of “Housefull 3” appeared on CNB but things went wrong. Even though some lines were actually humorous, some were objectionable too, especially the ones targeted on actresses of the movie, i.e., Jacqueline Fernandez and Lisa Haydon. Apparently, Riteish and Akshay were uncomfortable after the ladies were humiliated with derogatory lines which hardly had any humor.
Siddharth Jadhav passed a comment on Lisa, saying she looks like a kangaroo as she came from Australia and prior to this, he made a racist remark on the actress when he called her “black African”. This all made Akshay angry to such an extent that he instantly moved towards the comedian for stopping him. Till then, the actresses were already filled with emotion and it seemed that they would have cried if Akshay did not intervene.
As per a unit member, Akshay Kumar wished to point out objectionably lines earlier, “But when it went out of hand, he couldn’t control himself. He was upset that the comedians were aware that Lisa wasn’t too well versed in Hindi and wouldn’t even understand the few lines that the guys uttered. So, he thought it was all the more unfair that one would make fun of a person who didn’t even know the language well.”
Afterward, Akshay read the script and recommended some changes.
What a commendable action, Akshay! You have proved that you are a good human being too apart from being an excellent actor!
