Akshay Kumar has always been very considerate and compassionate towards the Indian Army, because his dad was from that background. He never leaves a single chance of appreciating our soldiers. While promoting Rustom, Akshay Kumar had stated he wanted to become an Army veteran and serve India, but he ended up in B-Town.
The Khiladi definitely has a big heart and he always proves it by doing something or the other for Indian jawans and their families. Remember, he donated Rs 9 lakhs to a BSF Jawan’s family? Not only this, he even donated Rs 80 lakhs to the Indian Army.
Yes, he decided to give Rs 5 lakhs to every family because he knew that they need money! Once again, the Khiladi visited BSF camp in Jammu and paid tribute to Jawans who had to sacrifice their lives in ceasefire violations.
Akshay said something very special to BSF Jawans; he said “Fortunate that I got the opportunity to come and meet you. I have always said I’m a reel hero, you are the real hero.”
When a reporter asked him about peace between Indian and Pakistan, Akshay stated “Peace is important as many lives are lost; I think peace is only way out.”
