Now that Comedy Nights with Kapil is ending and bidding adieu to the channel and its audience. We had a major missing started for all the characters and majorly for Dadi… For the time being, we all forgot that behind the Dadi character is actually a male character portraying it with such ease and élan. Well, it won’t be wrong to Ali Asgar became synonymous with Dadi and his real identity somewhere was lost in between… But no one’s complaining…
We thought that the magic of Kapil Sharma and his family will continue even after the show ends in the form of guest appearance and may be in another TV show. But you all will be saddened to know that Ali Asgar has downright rejected the idea of him playing the character of Dadi again.
This is what Ali Asgar a.k.a Dadi said on asking if he will play Dadi if Kapil comes up with another show…
“I don’t want to play Daadi now. I know Kapil is coming up with a show. But I am done with the role. Now, my focus will be on ‘Woh Teri Bhabhi Hai Pagle’. I think we have ending the show on the right note and the character has achieved what it had to. Other actors on ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ experimented with new characters. But I played Daadi for last three years. I was in the same get up. Now if the show comes up on some other channel, I have no objection with someone else playing the role. With due respect, there will be no bad blood,” shared Ali.
No, this is not happening.. We just so desperately wish if this was untrue.. But just like as weather changes, we hope Ali’s decision also changes in near future..
