The energy at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium reached another level on Thursday evening as India battled England in the semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. While the thrilling match kept cricket fans on the edge of their seats, the stadium also turned into a mini Bollywood hotspot with several celebrities attending the high-stakes clash.

Among the most talked-about guests were actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor who came to watch the match with their daughter Raha Kapoor. The couple attracted a lot of attention the moment they arrived at the stadium where fans and paparazzi gathered near the entrance hoping to catch a glimpse of them.
Ranbir chose a relaxed look for the evening, wearing a blue T-shirt and jeans, and was seen carrying little Raha in his arms as they walked inside. Alia walked beside them, dressed casually and sporting a cap. The family later took their seats in the VIP section of the stadium.

As the match unfolded, Alia, Ranbir and Raha were seen cheering enthusiastically for team India. The couple wore the Indian blue jersey and applauded during big moments in the game. Videos from inside the stadium showed them smiling, clapping and enjoying the electrifying atmosphere as India moved closer to victory. Fans online quickly shared clips of the adorable family cheering together during the match.

The celebrity crowd didn’t stop there. Actor Varun Dhawan was also present and appeared fully invested in the match. Known to be a cricket fan, he reacted passionately to several key moments during the game.

Veteran actor Anil Kapoor also attended the semi-final. Interestingly, his latest film Subedaar had released earlier that same day on Amazon Prime Video. During the match, Varun Dhawan and Anil Kapoor were spotted chatting and reacting to the tense moments on the field as the game progressed.
Cricketer KL Rahul was also among those in the stands and attended the match with his brother-in-law and actor Ahaan Shetty. Both were seen watching the match closely as the action unfolded.
The star-studded audience also included former Indian cricket captains MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma, adding even more excitement to the evening.

On the field, the match itself turned into a dramatic contest. England nearly pulled off an incredible chase of India’s massive 254-run target, largely thanks to an outstanding century by Jacob Bethell. Despite the strong effort, England ultimately fell short.
With this victory, India secured a place in the tournament final. The team will now face New Zealand on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium, where the defending champions will aim to win the trophy once again.
