Amitabh Bachchan recently transported fans back in time with a deeply nostalgic blog post where he revealed a piece of cinematic history, an original ticket to the 1975 blockbuster Sholay priced at just Rs 20.
The superstar shared a photo of the ticket, carefully preserved over the decades, alongside images from his traditional Sunday meet-and-greet with admirers outside his residence in Mumbai.
The veteran actor expressed both amazement and a hint of amusement at the ticket’s original cost. He noted that Rs 20 was once enough to experience a film like Sholay on the big screen whereas today, the same amount might only buy a soft drink at a cinema hall. He questioned how prices had shifted so drastically over time and reflected on the irony of inflation in entertainment.
