Amitabh Bachchan took that extra plunge and wrote a letter to Mr. Versatile and weaved it with words that only praised Ranveer, and how excellent he was in portraying the character of Peshwa Bajirao. His acting in the movie, was undoubtedly excellence at par, such a smooth flow of dialogues and the body language as well oozes his power as a Maharashtrian warrior.
“Today morning, I received my first award for ‘Bajirao Mastani’. A handwritten note from Mr Bachchan. Among young actors like Parineeti Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut it’s all become a thing…’Have you got it’ (the letter from) (sic),” said Ranveer Singh.
He also added, that Aditya Chopra also called up to shower his with applause and compliments, and all he could is fumble and was at the loss of words.
