This Amitabh-lookalike Left His Desk Job & Drives Autorickshaw! The Reason Will Make Your Day!

Happiness is… following your passion and living the life you always wanted!

I don’t think anyone will ever disagree with this thought. But changing time and increasing rat race has made us machines. We live in a hurry to earn as much as possible and save for our future. The insecurity of getting poor haunts our minds and that’s what forces us to do anything, whether we like it or not.

There are hardly a handful of people who leave this rat race and chooses their own path. Those are the people who believe in experiencing their inner happiness and not the worldly pleasure.

And this man believes in something similar. Ummm… you must be thinking that you have seen him somewhere. Well, I must make this clear that he is the legend Amitabh Bachchan’s look-a-like. Big B’s look-alike left his 9 to 5 job and decided to follow his passion.
He now drives an auto-rikshaw along with his camera. Photography is his passion and driving an auto-rikshaw gives him liberty to follow it.

He claims that he is happier with this job and can proudly tell anyone about it. Driving an auto-rikshaw can be demeaning for others but it’s not for him.

Happiness is something that no amount of money can ever buy, and once you know have that you’re the richest person in the world— and that’s how I feel. I feel on top of the world, every single day.

He has learned photography from different photography studios in Mumbai and claims to have traveled abroad because of his passion. He says that because of his auto-rikshaw he gets to meet so many different people who tells him numerous stories and loves to get captured in his camera.

Here is what he actually told a famous page on Facebook…

I used to work at Hindustan Unilever, but the concept of a 9-5 job got too mechanical for me. There was nothing wrong with the company, but I hated the monotony to the point where I was unhappy. One morning, I woke up and quit. I didn’t really have a plan, but I knew I was passionate about a lot of things like meeting new people, photography and sketching. I didn’t want to be confined to a space… I wanted to be free so I purchased this auto rickshaw a few months later because I knew I would be able to meet all kinds of people and have the time to stimulate my creativity. Ofcourse I worked hard — sometimes I worked more than 12 hours a day but I was thrilled — I was getting to see so many new people and learnt photography from studios all over Bombay.
That was 40 years ago, and to some this profession is demeaning but to me it’s the best job in the world. I’ve combined my passions in so many ways — I click photos of my passengers, I write and paint. I’ve travelled all over the world for my photography— London, Africa, Dubai and when they ask me what I do — I proudly say I drive an auto rickshaw in Bombay. After hearing that I’ve completed my MSC and speak fluent English, people often ask me why I continue to drive an auto and to that I’ll say only one thing. Happiness is something that no amount of money can ever buy, and once you know have that you’re the richest person in the world— and that’s how I feel. I feel on top of the world, every single day.
