Amrish Puri has been one of the greatest villains of all time and has given the industry many memorable films. In fact, it won’t be wrong to say that some of the characters that he played have become immortal and all the credit goes to his impeccable acting skills and powerful performances.
Now his handsome and dashing grandson Vardhan Puri is all set to make a debut in Bollywood and according to Mumbai Mirror, he will be seen in a romantic thriller by Jayantilal Gada.
He has acted in plays since teenage and has also served as an assistant director for several films including “Shuddh Desi Romance” and “Daawat-e-Ishq”. As per Vardhan, Jayantilal was about to launch him with a period film; however, the project could not start. But now the producer has given him a chance to work in another flick that will commence by September.

When Vardhan was asked about his idols, he took his grandfather Amrish Puri’s name and said that he is the God who he prays to. According to him, he was so close to his grandfather that he used to sleep in between him and his grandmother. After he lost him, he took the decision to do something for his grandfather and the movie that he will be doing will be a tribute to him.
He also recalled his memories of watching movies of Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Dilip Kumar with his grandfather. He also told that sometimes, he used to sit for reading sessions with him when movie makers visited their homes. However, his all-time favourite movies of his grandfather are the ones that he did with Shyam Benegal and Govind Nihalani.
