There are very few Indian businessmen who are active on social media networks despite their busy and hectic schedules and Chairman of Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra is one of them. Anand Mahindra is quite a witty person and not only he shares interesting innovations on the micro-blogging site Twitter but also interacts with his followers whenever he gets time.
Recently, Anand Mahindra shared a video which was about an e-rickshaw but with partitions. There is no denying the fact that practicing social distancing should be the topmost priority of everyone in the times when we are fighting against the coronavirus pandemic. This rickshaw has been divided in such a manner that four persons can sit in the rickshaw at a time without even seeing and touching each other.
Anand Mahindra got so impressed with the e-rickshaw driver that he tagged Rajesh Jejurikar, the Executive Director- Auto and Farm Sectors, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, and said that they need to get the driver as an advisor to their research & development and product development teams.

The coronavirus outbreak has taken lives of more than 1.95 lakh people and the number of infected cases is over 27 lakh worldwide. On the other hand if we talk about India, the number of infected cases is around 24K while more than 770 people have lost their lives.
The Indian government has imposed lockdown till May 3 in the country and even if the lockdown is lifted after that, we will still need to be very careful and follow all the precautions, such as avoiding going in crowded places, maintaining social distancing, washing hands regularly, etc.
We are pretty sure that such e-rickshaws will be quite instrumental in our fight against the novel COVID-19 virus! Hats off to the genius innovator!
