Demonetization is a big attack on the corruption, terrorism, and naxalites. For years now, fake currency has been circulating in our country to weaken our economy by the terrorist syndicates which are funded by ISI. The evil of corruption has affected the entire nation; earlier government didn’t make serious efforts to eradicate corruption, they only filled their own pockets.
Narendra Modi promised during the Lok Sabha campaigning that if his party comes into the power, they will make some serious changes to put an end to the problem of black money and corruption. PM Narendra Modi kept his word, he demonetized the old Rs. 500-100 notes, this move is a nightmare come true for the dishonest and corrupt people who has stashed money in their lockers.
But the move has caused a great deal of inconvenience to the common people too, families who have marriages and farmers who have to buy seeds since it’s the Rabi sowing season. Now Modi government has provided a big relaxation to the farmers; the Finance Ministry today has allowed the farmers to purchase seeds with the old Rs. 500 notes from state or central government, agri universities, and public sector firms.
Allowing the farmers to use the demonetized Rs. 500 notes is a big relaxation. An official statement said,
The government is committed to ensure that the farmers are suitably facilitated during the Rabi season.
So now the Farmers can buy seeds from the outlets belonging to the central or state governments, central or state agricultural universities, public sector firms, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), and national or state seeds corporations. They can visit the outlet and produce their identity proof to purchase the seeds.
The government is making sure that the farmers don’t have to suffer since it’s the Rabi season. Last week, the government allowed the farmers to withdraw cash up to Rs. 25,000 per week from their KYC compliant accounts.
