Anupam Kher Trolled On Twitter Over Denying Pakistani Visa

Nowadays, one can find Anupam Kher more on micro-blogging site Twitter rather than in movies and whenever he is on Twitter, a controversy blows up. This time again he expressed his outrage on social media for not getting the visa from Pakistani authorities which he needed in order to attend the Karachi Literary Festival which starts from February 5.

On Tuesday morning, he tweeted about this:

Have been informed that Pakistan MoFA has denied permission for my visa to participate in the Karachi Literature festival.

After this, he talked about the probable reasons for not getting the visa:

Indian Govt welcomes Pakistan based writers, artists, actors etc. Pakistan Govt. bans entry of Indian actors. Why fear a free dialogue?

Has my visa been denied because I speak about India's rich tradition of tolerance or I am a Kashmiri Pandit who may expose Pak terror nexus?

But the real fun started when Pakistani high commission denied the news of denying visa to Anupam Kher and stated that he has not even applied for it so how he can get it…This didn’t go well the actor and he scolded Pakistani authorities for not knowing the rules properly:

Pak High Commission shud know their own rules. #KarachiLitFest had given my name to authorities 1 month back & have my name in every poster.

I feel bad for all those people who were looking forward to meet me in Pakistan and vice versa. Sorry to them. Hopefully one day …

Later in the evening he also had a press conference in which he presented the proof that the organizers had applied for the visa on his behalf but the Pakistani government didn’t want him to come.

Well there is no clarity on this matter so far but Twitter users didn’t miss their chance of taking a jibe:

If Anupam Kher really wants Pakistani Visa, he should just say "There is rising intolerance in India".. 😛

Anupam Kher got the Padma without applying for it, he thought procedure for a Pakistani visa is similarly done !!!

— thakursahab (@65thakursahab) February 2, 2016

Why Anupam Kher did not get Pakistan visa:
1) He is not part of the Indian State
2) He is an actor.
So Islamabad calls him non-state actor!

If Pakistan government would've seen how Anupam Kher betrayed India as Inspector Giridhar in Hum, they would've instantly granted him a visa

If you are not outraged by Anupam Kher being denied entry to Pakistan, go to Pakistan. PS – please fill in visa form though while at it
