The country was already busy debating on the “intolerance” issue which was stimulated by remarks of the actors Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan and then the Jawahar Lal Nehru University whose students came into limelight after anti-national slogans were chanted in an event organized in the campus.
The students of JNU organized an event which was related to the death sentence given to the terrorist Afzal Guru by the Supreme Court of India and they termed it as “Judicial Killing”. During this event, slogans were shouted in the support of the terrorist Afzal Guru and against India, after which the president of JNU student union and some other students were arrested by the police.
Just couple of days back, Assadudin Owaisi, Hyderabad MP, has given a controversial statement saying that he won’t be saying “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” even if knife is kept on his throat and since then a lot has been said and talked about this matter.
Actor Anupam Kher gave his own meaning of Nationalism on Twitter:
The only definition of NATIONALISM for Bharatwasis should be "Bharat Mata Ki Jai". Rest all are escape routes.:)
— Anupam Kher (@AnupamPKher) March 16, 2016
And Twitter users have reacted in a different way as to ridicule the actor:
@AnupamPkher when i say Jai Hind Am I anti national.?
