The Indian filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is known for his own style of storytelling and he is also one of those Bollywood celebs who don’t hesitate in speaking their hearts out whether it is about a celebrity or in regard to any issue.
Recently, Anurag Kashyap attended an event in Kolkata in which he said certain things that may not go well with some people of the industry. Anurag Kashyap states that he strongly believes every moviemaker should have the right to make every type of film. He says that he knows the majority of the filmmakers personally, even the ones who are famous as problematic makers. According to him, the commercial filmmakers and the makers who have made movies like “KGF” and “Salaar” are of two types, first there are opportunists and then are those who are very honest in accepting that they want to make money and hit movies.
However, when it came to speaking about the moviemakers who have a reputation of being feminists, socialists or revolutionaries, Kashyap very bluntly states that 90 percent of them are frauds, they just pose and try to project an image. He adds that over the years, he has tried to bring the independent filmmakers together but he has realized that these independent makers are the worst kind because these independent and intelligent moviemakers are pulling each other down and insulting each other but the fools are standing united.
Anurag Kashyap has given us many magnificent movies such as “Gangs of Wasseypur”, “Dev D”, “Black Friday”, “Mukkabaaz”, “Manmarziyaan”, etc. and his last directed movie was “Kennedy” which starred Rahul Bhatt and Sunny Leone in important roles.
Do you agree with Anurag Kashyap that 90 percent of feminists, socialists and revolutionary moviemakers are frauds? Let us know your opinion in this regard.
