Many people supported Priyanka and few of them even came out and talked about their own experiences.

Recently, the film editor-director Apurva Ansari who is very famous for his work in “Satya”, “Aligarh”, “Made in Heaven”, etc. made some shocking revelations regarding how a campaign was carried out in 2012 against Priyanka by a powerful lobby in order to malign her image and to throw her out of the industry. If you remember, in the past, there were some reports as per which Priyanka’s closeness with SRK had angered Gauri Khan and Priyanka had a feud with Karan Johar as well.

Apurva Ansari talks about the powerful lobby as he says that they certainly have favourites and they have the right to work with those whom they like but the real problem starts when they come together to throw an actor or technician out not just from their movie but also from the industry.

He further states that when the egos of these powerful people get hurt, they call others and tell them not to work with the concerned person and then they use the influential mediapersons and journalists for maligning the image of the person. Apurva goes on to say that corrupt reporters write false articles about that person and attempt is made to make people believe that the concerned person behaves inappropriately on the sets.

Apurva Ansari adds that if the concerned actor/technician shows resilience and still keeps doing the good work, then either bad reviews are given about the work or the work is not reviewed at all. He says that if the movie or project of the concerned person performs well, the news of its success is not shown and it is really very harmful for a good talent, especially for those who have no filmy background.

The film editor also spoke about the front page article which was published by a news daily which stated that no big actor wants to work with Priyanka. Apurva said that the article was published when Priyanka gave two hit movies – “Barfi” and “Agneepath” in one year and they did this as they didn’t want to let her grow as an actor.

Apurva also says that anyone who is not ready to be disrespected or remains silent as per their wish is pushed in the corner. Ansari also adds that if research is carried out, then you will see that usually outsiders are termed as problematic and difficult and star kids hardly face any problems.

Apurva Ansari also reacted on Twitter in regard to his interview as he tweeted, “I paid the price when I spoke for Sushant & the horrid culture of blind items. I will pay the price for standing up for Priyanka Chopra. The ‘liberal’ media will be the first to boycott me. But I will always speak my truth, even if I have to stand alone.”
