Army Chief Slams Raj Thackeray’s Demand Of Rs 5 Crores From Producers For Army Relief Fund!

We all are aware how ‘Uri attacks’ have created problematic situations for the film industry. Yes, the Pakistani actors were banned by IMPPA, bringing in more troubles for the release of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Raees’, that had Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan playing lead roles in it. MNS chief Raj Thackeray had strictly said that he won’t allow the release of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and any other movies that have Pakistani actors in it (Indirect hint at Raees).

However, it seems he changed his mind, when he said that every Bollywood director who worked with Pakistani actors has to pay a penalty of Rs 5 crores towards the Army Welfare Fund; this means easy release for ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, isn’t it?

Moreover, the MNS chief said that the producers must give in writing that they will never ever cast any Pakistani actor in future. These conditions were well accepted by Karan Johar, Devendra Fadnavis and The Producers Guild, but it surely drew a lot of flak on social media….

However, Former Air Vice Marshal Manmohan Bahadur slammed Raj Thackeray for this decision, in his series of tweets; have a look…

Even Brigadier Khushal Thakur slammed this decision of MNS. He stated that by doing such things MNS is hurting the national sentiments of people. He adds

“If something is wrong, it is wrong. How can a forced donation of Rs 5 crore make it right? But the bottom line is the army’s name should not be misused for political gain,”

Indian Army commander Lieutenant General BS Jaswal said “The army doesn’t go around begging for funds. If a film producer wants to donate, he can do it like any other Indian citizen. But it’s unacceptable in such a manner.”

Even common people took to Twitter to oppose this decision; have a look at these tweets…
