There is no denying the fact that making a movie was always a costly affair but nowadays it has become costlier than ever and it hurts more when the movie fails at the box-office.
While many producers have openly talked about the rising entourage costs of the actors, some producers have also hinted towards the huge fees charged by the big actors.
Recently actor Arshad Warsi appeared in an interview on a YouTube channel and he stated that some A-listers are getting paid too much and because of them, other actors have to suffer.
When Arshad Warsi was asked whether he has some issues with the remuneration being paid in Bollywood, he said, “I feel that people are getting paid a little too much, that is the problem. I feel that the pay scale has gone up so much that it has drawn a line between A and B. There are some actors who are making too much money and to compensate for that, other actors are suffering.”
On being questioned whether he has ever talked to those stars about it as he must be in touch with them, Arshad Warsi replied in negative by saying that he doesn’t interfere in lives of other people. He stated, “It’s their life, and they don’t tell me how to live my life. Like if someone tells me to lead my life in a certain way, I would tell them to eat, drink and go home.”
He further added, “Everybody knows it but [they feel] make hay while sun shines. If they are making money, let them. If you are giving and I am getting it, it’s great life. I don’t want to change the world.”
On the work front, Arshad Warsi will be seen next in “Welcome to the Jungle” and “Jolly LLB 3”. Do you agree with him on big actors getting paid extremely huge fees? Share your views in this regard.
