Few days back we reported about Akshay Kumar replacing Arshad Warsi in the sequel of Jolly LLB.
When Arshad was asked to speak about this, he had told that the makers chose Akshay since they wanted to rope in a bigger star. He also added that
“If you have a bigger star, then even if the film is not that good, you still manage to cover the money so risk factor from the producer’s point of view is less.”
But do you know, something very ironical has happened now! Guess what; now it seems Arshad has taken a sweet revenge from Akshay and has replaced him in ‘Aankhen 2’.
The original version i.e.‘Aankhen’ which starred Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan was released in the year 2002.
However, it seems that the roles have been reversed now i.e. Akshay Kumar in ‘Jolly LLB 2’ and Arshad Warsi in ‘Aankhen 2’.
When a reporter asked Arshad whether this was planned, he laughed and said “Bahut Purani planning hai. Humne bachpan main socha tha kya karenge”.
However, on a serious note, Arshad explained;
“It’s a coincidence. It happens at times. Abhi isme koi kuch nahi hai. Hota hai aisa. Kabhi koi yeh role kar leta hai. So it’s fine.”
Arshad is pretty excited to work with Amitabh Bachchan. Expressing his excitement he said that
“From my childhood, I have loved him. He is my hero and always will be. I respect all other actors but when you love somebody he is everything. I am so happy to be here and I don’t think any actor is complete if he hasn’t shared the screen with Mr. Bachchan.”
Arshad was present at the 1st look launch of the movie. ‘Aankhen 2’ would have Arjun Rampal and Amitabh Bachchan reprising their roles, while Anil Kapoor and Arshad Warsi would be joining the cast.
