The season 2 of the business reality show Shark Tank India is back on TV and there is no denying the fact that audiences are missing the former shark Ashneer Grover because his one-liners and candid talks with the pitchers helped in making the show hit in the first season.
Ashneer Grover, the former co-founder and managing director of BharatPe, gained a huge fan following in Shark Tank India’s first season but he is not a part of the second season because of the reasons unknown to him. However recently in an interview, he claimed that he dominated the show in the first season and he also responded to the question whether he will watch the second season or not.
When Ashneer Grover is asked about watching the second season of Shark Tank India, the entrepreneur straightaway replies in negative, saying that he feels the separation should be clean. As per him, when it gets clear that he won’t be a part of the second season, he has unfollowed all the other sharks on the social media platforms because he doesn’t need to see what is happening behind-the-scenes on the show because it is past for him and he doesn’t want to live in the past.
Ashneer Grover makes it clear that he has no interest in knowing what is happening on the show; however, he states that his wife sometimes Googles about the show. According to him, he enjoyed his time on the show and he is very thankful that he was received well by audiences. Ashneer Grover goes on to say that he strongly feels in some way, he was a part of creating a Rs. 10,000 crore franchise for the Sony channel. He adds that he is happy as he has given a Rs. 500 crore yearly franchise to the Sony channel because the first season is the most difficult one; if the show doesn’t click in the first season, then next year the channel won’t be giving you the slot. He further added that it doesn’t matter to him whether he got benefitted from it or not.
Amit Jain, founder of CarDekho, is the new shark who has joined the second season of Shark Tank India in place of Ashneer Grover.
