Ravichandra Ashwin won 2 ICC awards on Thursday, but still he’s in the news for all wrong reasons. People are bashing him on Twitter; do you want to know why? Well, while giving the thank you speech Ashwin omitted Dhoni’s name.

For quite a while Ashwin was MSD’s lead spinner in the team, after he made his test debut in the year 2011, under the captaincy of Dhoni. Not only this, Dhoni was also a part of CSK (Headed by Dhoni) until the team was suspended on the charges of match fixing and betting.

However, in this thank you speech, he skipped Dhoni and thanked Virat, his parents, and Anil Kumble. Not only this, Ashwin also said

“I’d like to dedicate this award to my family. I’d like to thank ICC and most importantly my team-mates. I’d also like to thank the support staff for our success. We’ve had a great transition ever since Mahendra Singh Dhoni hung up his boots. A young captain has taken over, we fell on the right track, and we now have a new bunch of boys.”

This made the social media users all the more angry; they instantly took to Twitter and expressed their frustration in reply to his tweet.
