Ravichandran Ashwin, one of the most talented Indian bowlers, has a huge fan following on the social media sites and it seems as if the spinner is in the mood to take advantage of his fan base. It is a common trend among celebrities to promote products through paid tweets as companies like to cash on their follower base and celebs end up going home with a big amount of money.
However, things don’t go well with the fans sometimes and the celebrity becomes the target of trolls. R. Ashwin also faced the same situation this time as he was promoting Redmi Note4, a smartphone of a Chinese brand.
Ashwin tweeted, “There’s often a debate on reading my carrom ball but, there are some things jinpe #KoiDebateNahi! Redmi Note4:India’s No.1 selling smartphone”
Just recently, India and China were on loggerheads because of Doklam issue and in the past as well, China created problems for India and supported Pakistan, which is responsible for promoting terrorism in India. The fans got a little angry and some chose to make fun of him sarcastically while some straightaway asked him not to promote Chinese products.
Here are some selected tweets:
