The Ahmedabad pitch on which the fourth and the finals test match was played was a batting friendly pitch and both the teams exploited the conditions pretty well by scoring huge runs. While the Aussies put up a score of 480 runs in the first innings, India responded with 571 in the first innings and in the second innings, Australia scored 175/2.

On the fifth day, both the skippers Rohit Sharma and Steve Smith decided to end the match after the minimum number of overs were bowled as there was no chance of getting a result in the game. However, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma gave some moments of entertainment to spectators as he gave the ball to Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara instead of his regular bowlers.

While the senior Indian cricketer bowled an over, the young Indian opener bowled 1.1 overs, Shubman Gill bowled off-spin and Pujara chose to bowl leg-spin.

After the match, the Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin made up mind to have some fun as he posted a photo of Cheteshwar Pujara in which he is seen bowling.

Ashwin wrote a popular meme statement as the caption, “Main kya karu? Job chod du?” with a laughing emoji.

Soon Cheteshwar Pujara responded with, “Nahi. This was just to say thank you for going 1 down in Nagpur”.

Here Cheteshwar Pujara was referring to the Nagpur test match in which Ravichandran Ashwin was sent as a nightwatchman.

R Ashwin was in no mood to stay silent as he replied with, “Your intent is appreciated but wonder how this is a payback”.

The senior Indian cricketer once again gave an epic reply as he told Ashwin that he was trying to give him enough rest so that he could go one down again if needed in future.
