An auto driver brutally beat a 33 year old Indian army Major in Bengaluru near SCT Institute of Technology on Friday around 5pm. You would be shocked to know the reason! Well, what happened was that the Major was stuck traffic jam on that road and had a Haryana registration plate on the vehicle that he was driving.
The auto driver became very fierce due to the fact that he was a North Indian, following which he started using abusive language. As soon as the auto driver got a warning from the Major to stop this nuisance, he lost his temper, pulled him out and hit him real bad. However, the Major started taking pictures while the driver hit him.

The auto driver had no reason to get angry; he just felt that the Major doesn’t know how to drive properly on city roads since he is a North Indian. No one was ready to help the victim while he was being brutally beaten, except one techie who came forward and rescued him.

Murali Kartik, the techie said
“I was behind the victim’s car and witnessed the whole incident. The major was innocent and the auto driver picked a fight for no reason. The victim did not even come out of the car and was unable to understand the language in which the driver was speaking. Four other passersby, who were in no way connected to the incident, ganged up with the driver and started damaging the vehicle. The victim was then pulled out of the car and badly beaten. There were nearly 40 onlookers and nobody came to the victim’s rescue. I started pushing the assailants, asking them not to beat him as he would die. With great difficulty, I rescued the victim and the accused ran away,”

All 5 of them literally beat the Major with spanners due to which he started bleeding profusely. He was so badly injured that he had to be taken to Sri Lakshmi Hospital for getting the treatment done. There was lot of blood loss because he was brutally beaten till the techie came there to save him from their clutches. Had he not intervened, the situation would have got worse and the victim would have got very critical by then.
Later, a complaint was lodged at the Bayappanaalli police station against the auto rickshaw driver with the help of some pictures that were taken during this incident. A case has been filed under IPC section 324 (Voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons), stated the police.
Whatever the rickshaw driver did was totally bad, isn’t it? Do let us know your comments in our comments section below!
