‘Azhar’ the biopic which is based on the life of Mohammad Azharuddin, the former cricketer, is all set for release on the 13th of May. It stars Nargis Fakhri, Prachi Desai and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles. The movie created lot of buzz and as per latest reports, Azharuddin isn’t pleased with the makers as they have portrayed various aspects of his life on screen, which he didn’t want to.
Sources say that Azhar Bhai had shared some information with makers off the record , who in turn incorporated the same in the movie. He didn’t want this sensitive information to be shown to everyone on screen. Azhar’s main worry is that this information could open up old can of worms.
Reports suggest that Azhar, who is known for his polite demeanour lost his patience and asked them to remove the bits from the movie. However, makers are quite keen and are forcing him to keep the part that has been added. Speaking on this issue, Tony D’Souza, the director stated that they are in talks with Azhar Bhai with regards to these sections. They would have a talk and come up with an amicable situation.
Basically, Azhar is the narration of his professional as well as personal life. Mainly, the movie revolves around what happened when he was stuck up in a controversy of match fixing.
In real life, he has overcome these allegations and has come out clean from Andhra Pradesh High Court.
