Babar Azam Gives A Befitting Response To Journo Who Asks Him To Focus On T20s Only

The Pakistani cricket team is officially out of the World Test Championship 2021-23 after losing the first 2 test matches of the 3-match series against England and fans are trolling the team as well as skipper Babar Azam mercilessly for their disappointing performance.

While the first test match in Rawalpindi was played on a flat pitch and it had nothing to offer to bowlers, Multan’s pitch was quite helpful for bowlers and the test match got over in just 4 days as batters of both the sides struggled in scoring runs freely.

Pakistani fans were hurt more by the fact that Pakistan reached quite close to the victory in the second test match and this defeat also ended its chances of playing finals of the WTC 2021-23. England won the match by just 26 runs and Harry Brook was adjudged as the Player of the Match for the century that he scored in the second innings and helped his team in posting the total of 275 runs because of which it could give the target of 355 runs to Pakistan for winning the match.

Pakistani batters tried their best but they could manage only 328 and Pakistani fans left no chance of trolling Babar Azam after he got out for just 1 run in the second innings. The Pakistani skipper scored 75 runs in the first innings and when he came to attend the post-match press conference, a journalist asked a weird question to him but he gave a composed and calm reply.

The journalist said to Babar that he was with fans and they want him and Mohammad Rizwan to leave tests because once they both get out, the whole team crumbles. Babar Azam interrupted him and asked, “Toh aap keh rahe hain Test chhor de?” (So you are saying that we should stop playing Test?)

The journalist further questions him as to what he is thinking and whether he should play only T20Is to which the Pakistani skipper responded with, “Sir, aisa kuch nahi soch rahe hum” (Sir I’m not thinking anything like that.)

Talking about Mohammad Rizwan, he scored 10 and 30 runs in both the innings.
