A “Betrayal” story went viral over the internet and made the fictitious character Sonam Gupta, very famous. However, she has crossed heights of popularity and has become the most searched person on Google. Yes, you heard it right; she has secured the 3rd spot in the list of Google India’s most searched personality of 2016.
The first spot is secured by Donald Trump, while the 2nd one is secured by P V Sindhu, the Olympic medallist.
The main news is that she has even left behind Disha Patani, can you believe that? Disha secured the 5th position after Dipa Karmarkar, who was at the 4th. Even Sakshi Malik entered this list and featured among the top 10 most searched personalities.
Sonam Gupta’s entry on the 3rd position of Google India has indeed surprised everyone, isn’t it? Her name appeared on a torn Rs 10 note in the month of August this year and once again, after demonetization, her presence on Rs 2000 note was seen.
Later on, she went viral on all platforms and may be this is the reason why she has found the 3rd place.
