#BailForBapuji Trends To Seek Justice As Medical Report Says “Asaram Is Clean”

The ill-famed Godman Asaram Bapu is once again in news. Known for series of controversies, Asaram was arrested for sexually assaulting a school going 16-year-old girl. The 75-year-old tried to apply for bail many times but was never granted by the court.

Reason why he was arrested

Back in August 2013, Asaram Bapu was charged for raping a minor. The report stated that the Guru called her at his Jodhpur ashram in the name of religious ceremony and assaulted her sexually. Her parents took her to the nearby Police Station and were sent for medical examination to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital. The sexual assault was confirmed by the hospital then. The saint was arrested by Delhi Police under Sections 376 (rape), 509 (act against the modesty of a woman), and 354 (assault or criminal force to a woman).

New twist in the story

According to the recent news, the medical reports probably unveils another story. It clearly states that there is no evidence of assault or rape. This disclosure has given a sigh of relief to all his devotees. His followers have started tweeting #BailForBapuji and appealing the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to set him free.

Till date, we have seen many such incidents when the accused is set free after few years, victims receive no justice and they are then ignored by everyone.
