Bangladeshi cricket fans are once again raising their voices against team India and BCCI and this time, they are blaming team India and BCCI for the suspension imposed on their fast bowler Taskin Ahmed. Bangladeshi fans are using a commentary clip of 2014 to justify their protest. They are also questioning the bowling action of Indian fast-medium bowler Jasprit Bumrah.
Taskin made his debut against India and in the first match, he sent five batsmen to pavilion and during this match only, while doing commentary, former Indian captain and all-rounder Ravi Shastri said that Taskin had a good bowling action.
Within one and a half years of his debut, he has been suspended by ICC for his suspicious bowling action and what is more troublesome for the Bangladeshi team and fans is that all this is happening during an important tournament like World Cup.
Taskin won’t be playing in the match against India on 23rd March and the Bangladeshi fans are alleging that this is a conspiracy by BCCI and one photo is getting viral on the internet which is showing Taskin and Jasprit both in middle of their bowling actions. Bangladeshi fans are questioning the bowling action of Jasprit, however till now, no umpire has made any objection on Jasprit’s bowling action.
As far as BCCI’s involvement goes in Taskin’s suspension, BCCI has nothing to do with it as ICC has ordered enquiry in Taskin’s bowling action after the umpires reported about it.
The rules of ICC say that while bowling, the elbow of a bowler should not bend more than 15 degrees and as Taskin’s elbow bend more than 15 degree, he was suspended.
