As per the reports, it all happened because there is a dispute going on between the President of Bihar Cricket Association (BCA), Ashish Tiwary and association secretary Amit Kumar. While one team was picked by Ashish Tiwary, the other was selected by Amit Kumar and in the end, it was Tiwary’s team which played against Mumbai.

Ashish Tiwary told mediapersons that the team selected by Amit Kumar can’t play as he is already suspended. Talking about the team, Ashish Tiwary said that the team has been selected on the basis of merit, he said that they have a player Sakib Hussain who has been bought by a team in the IPL and there is a 12 years old cricketer who will make his debut in this game.

Ashish Tiwary was also upset with Aditya Verma, the petitioner in 2013 spot-fixing case and alleged that Aditya is hell-bent on spoiling the image of Bihar and BCA because his son was not selected.

On the other hand, Amit Kumar stated that he won the election and he is the official secretary of BCA and he can’t be suspended. He also asked as to how a President can select a team and further questioned if anybody saw the BCCI President Roger Binny selecting the team. In order to support his stand, Amit Kumar said that there is always the signature of Jay Shah who is the secretary of the BCCI and not of the President.

In the evening, BCA issued a statement in which it wrote that the team selected by Amit Kumar was fake and a life-threatening attack took place on OSD Manoj Kumar and an action will be taken against all those who are responsible for this.

God save BCA!
