Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has finally announced the head coach of the senior Indian Cricket team today. As per the reports by IANS, the head coach will be provided with a contract till 2021 World T20.
The three member advisory committee (CAC)led by the 1983 World Cup winning team captain Kapil Dev, Anshuman Gaekwad, Shantha Rangaswamy interviewed the shortlisted candidates at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai.
Mike Hesson, Phil Simmons, Tom Moody, Robin Singh, Lalchand Rajput and the current Indian head coach Ravi Shastri were interviewed by CAC.
However, the CAC members attended the conference to make the announcement and re-appointed the 57 year old all rounder cricketer Ravi Shastri as the head coach of the senior Indian cricket team for the second consecutive time.
Virat Kohli’s favorite coach is going to continue guiding the team.
