BCCI Chairman Gets Bashed For Tweeting Wrongly After Indian Women Team Reached In World Cup Final

After Indian Men’s team lost against Pakistan in Champions Trophy last month, it was our ladies team that made us hold our head high again.

The day Virat Kohli lead team lost the final against Pakistan, our women’s team got attention for defeating the neighbouring country. This was indeed a moment of pride and also a reality check that women are no less than men.

However, seems like the BCCI chairman, Rajeev Shukla has not come out of the Champions Trophy mode.

After the Indian women’s team had a big victory against the Australian team yesterday and reached the finals of the World Cup, the whole country was in celebration mode. However, Rajeev Shukla tweeted something that made everyone say WTF!

The chairman of The Board Of Control For Cricket In India tweeted a congratulatory message for the women’s team but did a big mistake by mentioning “Champions Trophy” instead of “World Cup” in those really important 140 characters.

Congratulations to @BCCIWomen team for making it into the Champions trophy final by beating Australia. Great knock by @imHarmanpreet

Soon after he wrote the tweet, he realised the mistake, deleted it and posted again.

Congrats @BCCIWomen cricket team for the comprehensive victory against Australia #WomensWorldCup2017 . Well played @ImHarmanpreet

Best Wishes to @BCCIWomen cricket team for the #WomensWorldCup2017 final match. A defining moment for Indian Cricket @M_Raj03 #BCCI

All is well that ends well!
