BCCI Website Has Details Of Only Men’s Team & No Mention Of Women’s Team. Heights Of Hypocrisy

A couple of days ago, we talked about the gender inequality that is persisting in the film industry and it was concerned not just about Bollywood but Hollywood too. Emma Stone, the star of “La La Land”, is the highest paid actress in the Forbes list of highest paid actors but surprisingly, she is at the 15th spot in the combined list of actors and actresses. It is definitely a matter of concern that not a single actress was in the top ten positions but now we are going to tell you something which is not only shocking but also disgusting.

The Indian women cricket team has made the nation proud with its superb performance in the World Cup 2017. We did lose the finals but honestly, the Indian women cricketers won the hearts of billions.

Here a worth mentioning point is that the women’s team also comes under the Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI), the same organisation which manages the Indian Men Cricket team but if you visit the website of BCCI, you won’t be able to find Indian women cricketers on it.

It’s really very bad that for BCCI, team India is only the Men team and they don’t even bother to make a page for the Indian women cricket team. Shameful, isn’t it?

Now let’s take a look at how other cricket playing nations treat their women team!

The New Zealand women cricket team is given the name of White Ferns and you can find details about them on the website:

Our neighbour Pakistan also proudly showcases its female talent on the website of Pakistan Cricket Board:

The proteas also love and respect their women team:

We really hope that BCCI does something in this regard soon and makes sure that this type of thing doesn’t happen again.
