Indian female athletes are making India proud by creating history in Rio Olympics this year as Sakshi Malik won a bronze medal in wrestling and thus recognized herself as the first ever Indian woman who won a medal in Olympics in wrestling. After Sakshi, shuttler PV Sindhu also seems to be all set for making records, as the girl is approaching towards gold in badminton tournament! Well, even if she couldn’t get a gold medal, she would definitely have the silver one.
There have not been many days when popular socialist and columnist Shobhaa De made a disgraceful tweet about Indian athletes, calling them incapable and incompetent.
Here’s what the journalist tweeted:
Goal of Team India at the Olympics: Rio jao. Selfies lo. Khaali haat wapas aao. What a waste of money and opportunity.
— Shobhaa De (@DeShobhaa) August 8, 2016
Many sportspersons as well as B-Town celebs have slammed Shobhaa for such a disgracing tweet and it looks as if she herself has finally realized her mistake and hence, made attempts of hiding it by making these tweets:
Stupendous Sindhu and Sakshi. Sisters in arms. Join the ranks of 'Women who make History into Her-story'.
— Shobhaa De (@DeShobhaa) August 19, 2016
Silver minted by Sindhu. Chandi ke baad Sona!!!

However, it didn’t seem to have any effect on megastar Amitabh Bachchan!
Yes, Big B punched her hard in his own unique style while appreciating PV Sindhu!
T 2352 – #PVSindhu .. aap "khaali haath" nahein, medal leke wapas aa rahein hain .. aur hum aapke saath 'selfie' nikalne chahate hain !!
— Amitabh Bachchan (@SrBachchan) August 18, 2016

— Amitabh Bachchan (@SrBachchan) August 18, 2016

— Amitabh Bachchan (@SrBachchan) August 18, 2016
You simply nailed it Bachchan Sir!
Shobhaa might have a tough time on Twitter as Twitterians are not going to forgive her soon!
