Pink is such a great film, if you haven’t seen this movie yet, then watch it today. Movies like Pink are trying to change the perception of a modern Indian woman and questioning the society’s mindset which is quick to label women as ‘fast and loose’.
However Pink’s climax was originally different and more realistic!
Pink is a movie that has been recommended by and for every man and woman. Critics gave rave reviews to the film, everyone appreciated the message that the movie delivers, its story and the performances of the lead actors is the reason why this movie performed very well at the box office.
However a lot of people argue that the movie would have been much better if the end or the courtroom scenes were better. They win the case based on morality and less facts. But we choose to let it go since the movie is very realistic and the dialogues are moving and powerful.
Taapsee Pannu who played one of the victims in the movie, Meenal, gave an exclusive interview to an entertainment website. She revealed that the girls lose the case in the original plot, but they modified the plot for the viewers. She said,
The plot demanded that the girls lose the case since all the facts and evidence were against them. But we changed it to a victorious ending for the girls so people can take something valuable home after the movie. It was an attempt to motivate people to encourage people to take action and stand strong against such situations.
Amitabh Bachchan delivered one of the best performances of his career. Taapsee Pannu gave a mind-blowing performance. A few critics even said that Taapsee’s performance overshadows Amitabh in the film.
