Let us refresh the Jiah Khan suicide case once again! She was found hanging from the ceiling of her house on the 3rd of June 2013 and then Sooraj Pancholi, her boyfriend was booked for abetting her suicide. Remember, we also reported about the abusive text messages that Sooraj sent to Jiah an hour before she committed suicide?
Today, CBI has made the biggest revelation ! It says Jiah Khan committed suicide and she wasn’t murdered. Yes, now the ‘Murder’ factor has been ruled out from the case. Earlier, Jiah’s mother Rabia Khan had had made claims that her daughter was murdered and had sought the addition of a murder charge in the trial against Sooraj Pancholi. Since she was firm on her belief that it is a murder, she had transferred the case in the hands of SIT i.e. Special Investigation Team.
But on Monday, the CBI told Bombay High Court that ‘Murder’ has been ruled out. Anil Singh, the Additional Solicitor General stated that “The CBI has no reason to protect the accused (actor Sooraj Pancholi) in the case,”
What CBI investigations say?
Now as per the investigations by the CBI, the main cause of Jiah Khan’s death is highlighted as ‘Suicide by hanging’. However, her mother’s theory was way too different. She thought someone entered through that open window of their residence and murdered her daughter.
CBI investigations were against Rabia’s claims since the incidents weren’t justified and moreover, there was no evidence of someone entering the flat. CBI states that the marks on her neck could be those of the ‘Dupatta’ which was used for hanging.
Anil Singh said that as per the medical board, the ‘Suicide’ factor couldn’t be ruled out. The high court has said that on 23rd August, it would take the decision on Rabia Khan’s plea for continuing interim stay on trial against Sooraj. Let us see what happens then!
