Baahubali fever is at its peak and considering the speed with which it is going high and high, it doesn’t seem to end soon. The second installment of the franchisee came like a king after the tremendous success of the first one and there’s absolutely no wonder as to why it’s still ruling box office, taking into account its supremacy and magnificence. Shattering every record, “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” has minted more than whopping Rs. 1,000 crores, which has made it the most successful film so far and other actors will have to work really hard to break the majestic record set by it.
After the splendid triumph, it appears as if the third part of the series might also hit the screens. True, this so-called third installment (which doesn’t exist as of now) has been one of the most discussed topics on social media ever since “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” was released.
K Vijayendra Prasad, the writer of Baahubali, has already given a hint to viewers that no third part of the series is on cards. In his words, “We’ve already told whatever story we had to.” However, it appears as if the performance of the magnum opus on box office and the handsome collections are motivating SS Rajamouli and Shobu Yarlagadda, producer of the movie, to change their minds.
Here’s what DNA was told by a source,
“Rajamouli and his producer Shobu Yarlagadda are now, for the first time discussing a third feature film. Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad has been asked to explore the plot possibilities. Other writers may also be brought on board to put forward ideas. A think tank is being created on the lines of the slew of screenwriters who work on Hollywood franchises like Mission Impossible and King Arthur. But yes, Baahubali 3 is now officially under consideration.”
Yarlagadda has earlier informed Firstpost that although they are not thinking about making Baahubali 3, fans can enjoy animated series with more episodes on Amazon Prime Video from May 19. Here’s what he stated,
“A live action series is also under pre-production. The mobile game is doing extremely well and our VR experience — The Sword of Baahubali — is also being worked on. So there is lot for fans to look forward to! Arka Media has no plans as of now to start a new film.”
There has been no announcement about the date of the third installment so far, as Rajamouli has made the commitment of directing a Telugu film under the production of DV Danayya and KJo wishes for launching Prabhas in Bollywood movies.
