On a daily basis, we come across headlines regarding the increasing tension between Pak and India along with the warnings of MNS of banning Pak artists and boycotting the movies in which they have been starred.
Ever since MNS threatened of blocking release of movies “Raees” and “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” featuring Pakistani artists Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan respectively, folks have been making wild guesses about the techniques to be employed by makers to cope with the situation.
It was claimed in a DNA report on Sunday evening that Pak actress Mahira Khan is replaced in SRK starrer “Raees”. The following was quoted by an anonymous source,
“It was a very painful decision for producer Ritesh Sidhwani to take. The pressure to replace her had been building up for months. It reached a crescendo after the Uri attacks. It came to a point where it became impossible to shoot with any Pakistani artiste. People suggested all kinds of solutions to the impasse, including shooting in Dubai. But it didn’t seem viable. Now, Mahira has unfortunately been relieved of her duties.”
The source further added,
“The ‘Raees’ team needs to find a new girl in two weeks’ time.”
Even though no announcement has officially been made in this connection from either Shah Rukh or producers, Rahul Dholakia, director of the movie, made this tweet, without mentioning any name, “Cooker ki saat seeti Baj chuki hai, aag dena bandh kar” (not a line from Raees, I has better dialogues)”.

“Raees” is slated to release on 26th January and then too, it will have to face one more trouble, i.e., clash with “Kaabil” starring Hrithik Roshan.
