The former Australian pacer Brett Lee is undoubtedly one of the best pacers of the world and on Saturday, the students and staff of SNR College and school got the chance to meet this wonderful person.

Brett Lee was in Coimbatore for the purpose of promoting the second edition of India Cements Ltd Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL). He was little surprised when he was asked who his favourite Indian cricketer is and the crowd started shouting “Dhoni, Dhoni”. He talked about the time when every Indian used to shout “Sachin, Sachin” and now they chant “Kohli, Kohli.”

He also shared a little incident about Indian captain Virat Kohli,

“My 10-year-old son’s favourite batsman is Virat Kohli. Once, when Kohli walked past me and we shook hands, I told him that you are my son’s favourite batsman. Kohli showed a great gesture when he gave my son one of his Test shirts signed – with best wishes Kohli.”

Brett Lee also bowled to three students after having an interactive session with the students. At the same time, he revealed that if he was not a cricketer, he would have been a rockstar. Moreover, he taught students the lesson of a lifetime when he said,

Brett Lee also met some children in a local hospital who were suffering from cancer. By gifting them smiley balls and autographed mini-bats, he brought a smile to their faces.
