Many people listen to music every day. It is a drug which keeps many of us alive or keeps us going. Music can make you happy when you’re sad and can make you feel relieved when you are stressed. It inspires you just when you feel low.
Music is a major part of many lives but the biggest obstacle to listening to it is earphones. They are very uncomfortable most of the times; they often get tangled and sometimes you feel like you are being tied by a rope.
But this company which goes by the name of Zungle enables you to listen to songs just by wearing sunglasses! How unreal does that sound? Luckily, it’s true!
A Kickstarter was launched last year for Zungle Panther sunglasses. They kept a funding goal of $50k which they surpassed quite easily. Recent figures say that the company has backed nearly $1.9 Million through the Kickstarter. Apart from a music player, these sunglasses work as a phone receiver too. Zungle connects to your mobile phone via Bluetooth and the company claims that it has a 4-hour battery life when played nonstop at full volume; it takes only an hour to charge. It has the normal micro-USB charging port and a controller.
Now Let’s skip to the most controversial part:
If it does not go into my ear, then how can I listen to the music?
Well, we all know that sound is nothing but a wave (vibration of particles). We receive sound as a message via our ear; then the vibrations hit our eardrums and we hear a sound.
But Zungle uses bone conduction speakers which transmit the sound waves to the inner ear through the skull. It’s just like Zungle opens another door for the sound to enter the inner ear. We aren’t making it up! You can even google “Bone Conduction” if you doubt it.
Estimated price
The retail price of Zungle is $150, whereas you get it for $119 if you pre-order it now with an extra $15 shipping charges. An additional pair of lenses would cost $17.99. The company promises to deliver the product by May 2017.
