The notes that were printed wrongly in the 3AP and 5AG series amount to a shocking ’30 THOUSAND CRORE’. Can you believe it?  Among these , RBI has notes that amount to 20 thousand crores, while other notes worth Rs. 10k crores are already circulated in the market, claim media reports.

Notably, this measure of silver security is mainly for checking counterfeiting. If this feature is absent, the currency note is made invalid. The printing of these faulty notes was done at SPMCIL or the Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited in Madhya Pradesh’s Hoshangabad and then it reached Nashik’s RBI press.

Some reports claim that Finance Ministry and RBI have taken the decision of burning the notes.
