Virat Kohli is one of the best batsmen of the cricket world, in fact some of his fans and former cricketers are of the opinion that he is the greatest of all times (GOAT) and he can easily break Sachin’s record by surpassing the figure of 100 centuries in the international cricket. Virat is 31 years old now and he has scored 70 tons (test matches -27, ODIs – 43) till now. Considering the fact that he is also very fit, he is not going to retire any sooner. As far as the ODIs are concerned, Virat may surpass Sachin easily as he is just six centuries behind the Little Master but the difference in the number of test match centuries is quite big.

You may have heard views of many former cricketers and experts till date and now former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan has also expressed his views on this matter. As per Irfan, Virat has everything that is required to break this record of Sachin and though it is difficult, Virat may surpass the record of 100 centuries if he keeps on playing as long as Sachin Tendulkar has played.

Irfan was having a live chat session with Sports Tak in which he said whether Virat Kohli will break Sachin Tendulkar’s record will depend a lot on the Indian skipper’s fitness levels and the time period for which he plays for India.

Presently, Virat Kohli is also following the guidelines given by the Indian government in order to keep its citizens safe from the coronavirus pandemic. He was supposed to lead the IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2020 but the league has been postponed on account of the COVID-19 outbreak for an indefinite period. However, some reports have suggested that the IPL may take place in the month of September and October as BCCI is weighing its options.
