News comes from Bengaluru where a 33-year man named Gokul Macheri has allegations that he made a hoax bomb call to Bengaluru international airport for framing Saju Jose, his friend, alleged of making an attempt for manufacturing a complex trail for depicting him as a terrorist having connections with global jihadi outfit Islamic State, as mentioned by cop.
Moreover, cop further claimed that the man called some telecom magnate who is New Delhi-based that night too for placing Rs. 10 Crores extortion demand. Gokul gave a call on personal phone of the chairman at about 10 at night. On not getting a response, the man messaged him on WhatsApp with regard to raising funds for Islamic State. Not only this, if he did not pay Rs. 10 Crores to IS, he must be ready to bear consequences. Additionally, the message had a private bank a/c no. to deposit money. Quite interestingly, it was Saju Jose’s no, as per sources.
Macheri works as a marketing executive in Indus Network and wished Saju to be out-of-the-way & here comes a terror link that’d assist to keep him aside. During that time, he would pick the wife of Saju with whom he was in 12th standard as well as in engineering. He was still in love with her and could not come out of her memories.
He saw a chance subsequent to Mehdi Masroor Biswas, pro-Islamic State Twitter handle operator, was in headlines and had been picked up in the year 2014 to tweet & retweet propaganda material. He tracked inquiry along with searching on web posts done by Mehdi or were in his favor.
As mentioned by a source, “First, Gokul opened a Facebook account under the name ‘Salman Islam’ and posted material about IS and threatened to blow up important sites. Gokul was hoping cops will notice it and arrest Jose.”
Gokul was hoping that Saju will come on notice of cops if they follow Mehdi’s tweets series. He wanted to pose it as a rant on Facebook against RSS and PM Modi. The real thought behind doing this was that being so active on social media, the Bengaluru police will definitely get attracted to it. However, when the facebook plot failed, he thought of a new way to entangle Jose in cases of terror activities.
Subsequently, Gokul planned hoax bomb call & started to browse information about different airports.
Sources said, “First, Gokul planned to call only Kempegowda International Airport. He later decided to call Delhi airport too, as he knew that would bring national investigative agencies into the picture, and make it difficult for Jose to disentangle himself from cases emanating from two such distant places, like Bengaluru and Delhi.”
Additionally, Macheri illustrated from lessons learnt through ISIS tweets of Mehdi. Messages he sent to KIA terminal manager on WhatsApp were “Islamic State wins” & “Get ready to see the fireworks above the sky today.”
