No matter how much we criticise Narendra Modi led BJP government, but they are seriously moving towards development of the country. After a series of notable steps, they are set for another landmark achievement.
Under the BJP government, Indian Railway is all set to introduce Economy AC Coaches for middle-class travelers. While these coaches will provide a more comfortable travel compared to Sleeper class, its cost of travel will be less than 3AC coaches. So, it’s going to be a great option for all those who don’t want to travel in Sleeper class but can’t afford 3AC.
The proposed fully AC train will have three-tier Economy AC coaches besides AC-3, AC-2 and AC-1 classes as part of the transformation exercise. An added feature would be automatic doors.
However, the passengers will not require blankets in the Economy AC class like other AC coaches as the temperature will be around 24-25 degrees. Also, the Railways is exploring an idea to introduce fully AC trains in select routes, aiming to provide comfort by facilitating AC travel for maximum passengers.
A senior railway ministry official was quoted by HT-
“There will not be any chilling effect like in other AC classes and the temperature will be fixed around 24-25 degrees. The aim is to make the passengers comfortable and not make them feel the outside heat,”
This is a really great news and if all goes well it will work wonders for a great section of our people. Don’t you agree? At least I am very excited and can finally bid adieu to sleeper class.
