“Cheerio Virat,” England’s Barmy Army Gave A Musical Send Off To Virat Kohli Post His Dismissal

The contest between the Indian cricket team and the England side is always a high intensity one irrespective of the format of the game and the same thing is happening in the 5-match test series which is being played in England. Though India has taken a lead of 1-0 by winning the second test match which was played at Lord’s, the English players are pretty high on confidence after getting a wonderful start in the third test match that is being played at Leeds.

James Anderson is once again in supreme form as he has dismissed three Indian top order batsmen including the Indian skipper Virat Kohli, the other two being KL Rahul and Cheteshwar Pujara, within an hour. Even before the start of the series, cricket fans were talking about the contest between James Anderson and Virat Kohli as they both have established themselves as one of the greatest of all times in their respective disciplines.

In 2014, James Anderson troubled Virat Kohli a lot as he dismissed Kohli five times in the series but in 2018, it was Virat Kohli who dominated between the two. However in this series, James Anderson is again calling the shots and Virat Kohli certainly needs to take some prompt action in order to get his form back. Anderson has dismissed Virat Kohli seven times till now in the test matches and the English fans were ecstatic after Virat got out as they knew that Anderson got the big wicket.

The English fan group Barmy Army also enjoyed this moment and they gave a musical send off to Virat Kohli who gave a catch to Jos Buttler on the score of 7 runs. England’s Barmy Army posted the video of the incident with the caption, “Cheerio Virat Jimmy has 3 in the first hour” with goat emoji.

Though it is a little early to talk about the result of this match, England is in a very strong position as of now and if the Indian cricketers do not perform superbly, they might have to taste defeat in this test match.
