Co-Owner Of Fortis Shivinder Singh Joins Satsang Beas, Leaving Behind ₹7500 Crore Empire For His Brother

Multi Billionaire, Co-Founder of Fortis Healthcare, Shivinder Singh announced his abandonment from the ownership and responsibilities in the hospital chain in the annual AGM of Fortis Hospitals held on 24th Sept, 15.

According to the reports, Shivinder Singh is inclined towards giving back to the society, in form of being a sewak to the people. He will be joining Radha Soami Satsang Beas, a large spiritual movement majorly followed in North India.

Shivinder Mohan Singh, graduate from St. Stephen’s College of Delhi University, started the hospital chain with his brother, Malvinder Mohan Singh, from the city in Punjab, Mohali. It further spread to Delhi and now in 15 cities in India. It also have hospitals in 10 countries outside India.

He will bid “Goodbye” to his responsibilities as Executive Vice Chairman and join the spiritual group by January 2016. After investing 20 years of his life to build this empire, he wanted to give back to the society, do something for the upliftment of the people out there. Hence, he will be moving to “Dera” once he joins the group as “Sewak”.
