Aishwarya’s Cannes visit has always been a hot topic of ‘gossip’! In terms of fashion and looks, Ash has majority of the times impressed fashion gurus, but there are even times, when she has miserably failed.
On the 1st day of this Film Festival, Ash entered in a beautiful golden gown. However, her following appearances were enough for disappointing fashion gurus and fans. Yes, everyone was disappointed with Ash’s ‘PURPLE LIPSTICK’.
Ash’s choice of this unusual lip color had become a topic of debate. After returning home, Ash stated that this decision of ‘purple lipstick’ was taken by the cosmetic brand which she endorses and wasn’t her personal decision.This statement was enough to put an end to this debate, but thanks to Sonam Kapoor as she has once again sparked it.
Sonam too was a contestant at Cannes Film Festival. She has made a statement which might not go down well with Ash.

“The whole idea of fashion and make-up is for people to discuss it and I guess she wanted to be discussed. She achieved what she wanted to achieve with it, which I think is great. I don’t think she walked for L’Oreal that day. There was an Amul ad on it, people were discussing it. She was trending everywhere. I have done purple lipstick in the past, I have even done black for a shoot… People haven’t spoken about me!”
Earlier too, in the year 2009, Sonam had taken a dig at Ash calling her an ‘aunty’. This fight between the 2 started when the cosmetic brand which Ash already endorsed, appointed Sonam as its young face.
