Virat Kohli and Narendra Modi are 2 gems of India and we just love them. While Modiji is the country’s favorite political leader, Kohli is a cricket icon and enjoys a HUGE fan following. Well, apart from that ‘Popularity’ element, the duo has something else in common too. Any guesses?
We are talking about their love for ‘Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan’! The cricketer seems to have ‘Clean India’ on his mind and in a bid to do something towards it, he along with other members of the Indian Cricket Team joined Anurag Thakur, the president of BCCI, in successfully accomplishing a cleanup drive at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens Stadium. This is the stadium wherein the recent India V/s New Zealand test matches were played. The cleanliness drive was conducted on 2nd of October i.e. Gandhi Jayanti and we are proud to see how Virat actively participated in the same.
A video of the same was tweeted by BCCI on its official Twitter handle; have a look…

This video went viral on social media and was aired by all major news channels. PM Modiji who happened to see this video on some news channel was very impressed by Kohli. He immediately took to Twitter and appreciated the cricketer for his ‘Powerful gesture’. Here’s the tweet by Modiji…
Dear @imVkohli, saw your #MyCleanIndia moment on @abpnewstv. A small but powerful gesture that will surely inspire everyone.

As soon as Kohli saw this tweet by the PM, he was overwhelmed and gave a prompt reply; have a look..
Thank you @narendramodi sir. We all are trying to make a difference for the betterment of our country. Led in an inspirational way by you.

Although Virat has achieved heights of success in Cricket, he never forgets the fact that first, he is a ‘Responsible Citizen’ of the country, and this attitude was clearly reflected in the video. We love him for the way he is and we appreciate him for his dedication and efforts. This small act of Virat has definitely made a huge difference. So guys, what’s your take on this?
