CSK Beat Mumbai In IPL Opener. Twitter Just Couldn’t Stop Talking About This Nail Biting Finish

India’s very own league Indian Premier League is back. IPL’s first match was played between Mumbai Indians & Chennai Super Kings. Chennai came back after facing 2 years of ban. And we would have never expected a better finish to opening match than the one that we just witnessed.

MS Dhoni after winning the toss, elected to field first. Both the opening batsmen Rohit Sharma & Lewis went out quickly and Mumbai were 20/2 in 4 overs. But then two partnerships, first between Suryakumar Yavav & Ishan Kishan, and then between Pandya brothers helped Mumbai Indians reach a respectable total of 165/4 at the end of 20 overs.

It would have been easy chase for Chennai but Mumbai’s brilliant bowling quickly wrapped up the top order of CSK. Markande’s brilliant spell helped Mumbai in getting first five wickets for just 75 runs. CSK were 75/5 at the end of 12 overs. After couple of overs, even Kedhar Jadhav got retired hurt because of injury & Chennai fans actually lost the hope at this stage but Bravo’s splendid inning changed the fate of the match.

CSK required 47 runs in 3 overs with just 2 wickets remaining when Dwayne Bravo started hitting the ball right, left and center. He got out in 19th over but then Kedhar Jadhav’s last over heroic six helped CSK win their first match of IPL. It was nail biting finish and Twitter couldn’t stop talking about it.
