However, the IPL franchises are leaving no stone unturned in entertaining their fans and followers by organising live Instagram sessions of their cricketers, posting throwback photos of their players, sharing old videos and also trolling the other franchises whenever they get a chance.

The whole country is under lockdown till May 17; however in the third phase of the lockdown, some relaxations have been given by the government and one of them is opening of liquor shops. While the liquor was sold in high quantity in Bengaluru, the liquor shops were not opened in Chennai as the number of COVID-19 patients is on a rise.

The official Twitter handle of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) took a dig at Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in reference to the liquor sales and connected it with their poor IPL record.

CSK tried to troll RCB by saying that there were a lot of talks regarding the competition between Chennai and Bengaluru in relation to the liquor sales but they are pretty happy losing this match even before it started as there are more important battles in front of us.

Here is what CSK tweeted, “So much chatter about Chennai competing with Bangalore vis-à-vis liquor sales. With the latest announcement, we are glad we lost that match even before it began, for battles in the present universe are more important. #COVID #TASMAC”.

RCB hasn’t been able to win the trophy even once despite the fact that it is star-studded and one of the strongest teams of the IPL on paper at least. The RCB fans were quite optimistic that their team will win their first title in the IPL 2020 but their hopes got dashed after the tournament was postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic. The chances of the IPL 2020 getting organised this year are also pretty less as the T20 World Cup 2020 is scheduled this year but nothing can be said with certainty as of now as the BCCI is looking for organising the IPL in the month of September before the T20 World Cup.
