Dale Steyn Has A Hilarious & Witty Reply On Comparison With James Anderson

The England cricket team has taken a lead of 1-0 in the ongoing four match test series by defeating India in the first test match by 227 runs. There is no denying the fact that the first innings of England completely belonged to the English skipper Joe Root who was playing his 100th test match as he scored a double century. Moreover, we just can’t take the credit from the English bowlers who bowled superbly and managed to take the 20 Indian wickets in the test match.

James Anderson, the English pacer, also performed brilliantly in the first test match as he took 5 wickets. He had been targeted for his age as he is 38 years old now but the England pacer proved that age is just a number if a person really wants to keep himself fit like him.

After Anderson performed brilliantly, a cricketing portal decided to compare him with the South African pacer Dale Steyn in regard to their performances on the Asian grounds in the longest format of the game. While 37-yr Dale Steyn has played 22 tests in Asia and has 92 wickets to his name, the England pacer has played 24 test matches on Asian grounds but has taken only 71 wickets till now. It is quite clear that Dale Steyn is a little ahead of his England counterpart.

Here is the tweet which was made by the cricketing portal:

While the cricket fans were expressing their opinion on this comparison, the South African pacer Dale Steyn also noticed the comparison and made up mind to comment on it. The response that Dale Steyn has given shows how humble he is as he calls Jimmy a legend who is getting better by age. He also says that while Anderson is playing, he is watching sitting on sofa.

Dale Steyn wrote, “The only comparison required is that Jimmy is still going and I’m watching from my 20/20 sofa. He’s a legend and seems to be getting better with age”.
