David Warner, the Australian cricketer is currently playing for the IPL team Delhi Capitals under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant but there was time when he used to play for Sunrisers Hyderabad and he not only played for them but it was under his captaincy that SRH won their one and only IPL title which they won in the year 2016.
That was a memorable show from Warner and after winning the IPL 2016, the number of his Indian fans increased manifold. However, things started turning bad between him and the SRH management and in the IPL 2021 when he was going through a bad phase and SRH was losing continuously, Warner was not only removed from the captaincy but he was also dropped from the team and then he was seen watching the match from stands rather than from the dug-out. If this was not enough, SRH also blocked David Warner on social media platforms.
Recently, David Warner appeared on the Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin’s YouTube channel in which he opened up on that phase. He said that he was hurt when he was blocked because he feels that fans were hurt and relationship with fans is the most important and he and the team had great relationship with fans.
David Warner says that he has no idea as to why he was blocked but he kept engaging with fans as he felt that it was his duty to interact with them so that they keep coming back and this is what is valued a lot. He adds that he has been thinking why he was blocked, it was certainly bizarre but he has fans who keep coming to his page and he talks to them.
As we said that David Warner is currently playing for Delhi Capitals, it is almost certain that he and Ishant Sharma will play the must-win match against Rajasthan Royals.
DC is currently at the sixth position in the points table with 5 wins in 11 matches and now it has to win almost all its matches if it wants to enter the play-offs.
